To alleviate confusion and herald a soon-to-be change in the seasons, our office hours will be changing as of Tuesday, Sept. 3. Currently, office hours are Monday from 9a to noon, with the same hours on Friday. Wednesdays are currently 1:30p to 4:30p.
On Sept. 3, office hours will change to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, with all three days having hours of 1:30p to 4:30p. If you have questions, please contact us through our contact page, or email Jack at [email protected]. Park County Methodist Ministries was challenged to put together 100 hygiene kits. So far, 100-gallon sized bags, 10 band-aids for each of the 100 bags, 100 wash clothes, 100 combs, and at least some soap has been donated. That means we’re still looking for the following items:
· 100 x Bath size (3oz bar) of soap still in packaging (no Ivory or Jergen’s soap please). · 100 x One adult toothbrush in its packaging. All supplies need to be delivered to Grace UMC no later than Wednesday, Aug. 21, by 2 p.m. where they will be assembled at that time. This will be a parish missional activity and volunteers are needed from each church for kit assembly on the 21st. Also included with these kits is $2.00 per kit to cover toothpaste and shipping making for a $200 total. Kits will then be delivered to Bozeman UMC by Aug. 25 before they’re delivered to UMCOR in Salt Lake City, Utah. Old Settlers Days will take place in Clyde Park on Saturday, Aug. 24. The event will include food and events that are fun for all ages. Shields Valley United Methodist will be hosting the Talent Show that day. It will start at 2 p.m. and coffee, tea, and cookies will be served.
Join the Park County Community Foundation in its first annual Give a Hoot giving challenge. Taking place from July 10 through August 8, the giving challenge allows residents to make donations to their favorite local cause(s). With 52 to choose from, participating nonprofits have a chance to receive partial matching funds from the foundation. You can see the list of all 52 organizations by clicking here.
